Turn the chair upside down on a table or bench. Give the kids rocking chair a tap of medium hardness near the points where the pegs are attached to the rockers; touch from bottom to top. Chalk any joint where the hammer tap causes the rocker to move along the spike. Turn the chair. If you can pull the pin all the way out of the hole, do it and fill the hole with wood glue. Replace the pin and push it all the way into the rocker shaft. Allow the glue to dry completely according to the instructions on the bottle before using the chair.
